i cant believe this!!!! I seriously DO NOT believe this....
How could he have won!? all the damn symphathy votes...
Y??!!! First he kicks out all the other ppl who sang better than him or have more star power than him. Then, he garners all the symphathy votes from aunties and uncles and wins the damn competition!!!
Arghh... not taht i like kelly alot though....juz angry coz he kicked out derrick and jun yang who are much better than him...
Most importantly..
I lost $10 to my mum..

Teachers dae celebrations were quite lame. The programmes were quite boring and it dragged for an hour! i cant believe my class was beaten by sec 1/2's dance item. I just cant believe it!!
Anyway, after the celebration, Shaun and i decided to attend the national day celebration that was supposedly held in JB for the first time in danga bay. We werent sure about where the celebrations would be held. Beng kai said it was here while Shaun's dad said it was in Penang. In the end, we decided to believe Beng Kai and went wif Shaun's bro and chin yang and there was a HUGE traffic jam.When we reached there, it was really quite obvious that there was no celebrations held that dae. Partly because there was not much ppl there in spite of the huge traffic jam but mostly because there was a huge banner hanging on the wall,
saying "COUNTDOWN PARTY - 30/8/05"
So boh bian, there was a traffic jam and we couldnt possibly call my mom to turn back and fetch us so we decided to eat our dinner there.
BIG MISTAKE!!
We sat down at a table that was full of flies and other assorted bugs. Next me and shaun went to order our food but we forgot to ask the price. By the time we asked the price of the food, they had already started cooking.
guess how much it cost.
$36
$36 for one sting ray, a plate of cockles and 3 bowls of rice!!!!
If it was a restaurant i wouldnt mind. At least there would be air con and good hygiene. But its a dirty, hawker stall for goodness sake. Of course, we most probably got conned coz
1. we were chinese
2. we weren't malay
3. we didnt know how to speak malay
4. we were kids
In the end, we decided that we couldnt afford to pay that much for such bad quality, we ran away quickly from the place. Luckily we were seated quite far from the stall and the hawker couldnt see us. It was so embarrassing!!!
note to self : am never going back to that place ever again lest i get recognized as the girl who ordered food but ran away from the stall coz had no money to pay for food.
We walked and walked and walked and walked far far away from Danga Bay and went to this restaurant that was approximately 1.6km away from Danga Bay. The food was more expensive but at least we had good surroundings and delicious food. Couldnt pry open the cockles myself coz juz cut my fingernails so got shaun to open! its good to have a guy around that you can bully...=p
ordered the same things plus drinks, desserts and also 4 sets of chicken wings.We were actually quitesure that the bill wouldnt run too high up coz shaun had been there b4. But imagine my shock when shaun rushed back from the counter to tell me that the bill was $100++!
turns out that the cashier had counted wrongly, adding about $60 dollars too our bill. Instead of registering our 4 sets of chicken wings together, she counted them separately. Luckily we checked the bill or we would really have been swindled.
Hate being conned coz we're children!

But....its still merdeka today so wont complain too much bout my country...

whew...had my mock exam yesterdae.. shucks! thought i could get out of it.
but had to do it in front of the HOD office, where the people doing detention were sitting. i think AT LEAST 5 ppl stopped to ask me y i was doing detention. Even miss fu came to ask me why.

Juz back from the japanese exhibition held in Eden Garden Hotel. skipped the e-maths mock paper to go! hehe..
The exhibition has juz further confused me about which uni i want to go to when i go there. I had everything mapped out.
There was this International University Of Japan that i wanted to go, but it only
has a graduate programme. so no hope there.
Next there's this Asia Ritsumeikan recommended by on of the Japanese Professors coz they use english to teach the courses. But i dun really like the environment.
Then, there's this Nanzan University.. But quite ulu and i tink mayb its onli an average school. the ppl there didnt have anything good to say about that uni.
Haix....There was this interpreter there who helped us tremendously. stayed with us for the entire time and told us about the lifestyle and which uni was good. Even gave us his number so we could contact him if we had any qn. One good thing was that he recommended that i take my a lvls and go to a uni in one of the bigger cities. Hehe..now my mom wont be able to insist that i go to an ulu city! =p
